Where are we now?

The Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic Staff Network Group and the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre present a celebration of Black History Month.

Join us as we celebrate and discuss 30 years of Black History Month with special guest speaker Dr Kehinde Andrews, Birmingham City University, and panel discussion. 

Guests include: 

  • Wilf Sullivan, TUC Race Equality Officer 
  • Prof James Thompson, Vice President for Social Responsibility, University of Manchester 
  • Atiha Chaudry, Chair, Greater Manchester BME Network 
  • Elizabeth Cameron, Unison Chair, North-West Region’s Black Members Committee 
  • Patrick Johnson, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, University of Manchester 
  • Deej Johnson, Manchester Students Union BME officer 

Plus an art exhibition of race throughout the years & an opportunity to network over lunch

ADMISSION: Free (registration required) 

All invited. We welcome registrations from individuals outside the University.
