Policy@Manchester – Mayoral Briefing Package
06 Apr 2017
Policy@Manchester has released an online mayoral policy briefing ahead of Greater Manchester electing its first mayor on 4 May 2017.
The policy briefing draws on the expertise of academics from across the University and external partners, including Professor Ian Greer Vice-President and Dean of FBMH, to develop recommendations and challenges for whoever is elected.
Jess Lishak, Communications and Engagement Officer at Policy@Manchester, said:
“The briefing focuses on five themes which we identified as the key policy areas for the election, based on the candidates’ manifestos and the Manchester Evening News’ survey of over 10,000 residents in Greater Manchester; health and social care, housing, jobs, inclusivity and transport.
We are also sending all of the candidates a copy of this briefing, inviting them to submit their responses to the points raised and their commitments on the issues, which we will collate and publish before the election.”
