The themes
Last summer, the Staff Survey Steering Group met with the Staff Survey Action Plan leads for the Faculties, Professional Support Services (PSS) and Library/Visitor Attractions, and a number of PSS staff who have been involved in the planning process. High-level priority issues for each individual plan were outlined and best practice in achieving an understanding of the issues was shared. Topics that necessitated pan-University co-ordination were identified and assimilated into a framework for a University-level Action Plan.
The Steering Group decided that this plan should cover four themes, each to be taken forward through a Working Group that will act as an umbrella for all relevant activity across the institution. These themes are:
- Leadership and Management
- Behaviours
- Performance and Development Review (P&DR)
- Reward and Recognition
Each group has academic/PSS co-leads and wide representation from across the University, and a project manager to coordinate the planning and implementation processes.
