Staff Survey 2013

Our staff are our most valuable asset. If we are to meet our ambitious Manchester 2020 goals, we need to ensure that the people who work here feel encouraged, valued and motivated.

The main way we can measure whether this is the case, is by asking for feedback about the experience of working here.

We did this through the Staff Survey 2013. The results have shown the University’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) how people feel about working here, what they enjoy and which areas need some improvement.

Over the past year, Staff Survey Action Plans have been developed for each part of the University. These action plans have been used to develop a document which highlights the key themes which will be addressed at a University level. These themes have now been agreed by SLT and can be found at:

Staff Survey Action Plans have been put together for each of the four Faculties, the Professional Support Services (PSS) and the Library and visitor attractions:

The survey process is being managed by the Staff Survey Steering Group which is led by Professor Martin Humphries, Vice-President and Dean for the Faculty of Life Sciences. A range of staff from across the University are represented on the group.
