Line managers can log employee sickness via MyView
Logging employee sickness accurately and promptly is essential to ensure employees receive the right sick pay, support, and fair treatment under our policies. It protects them from being underpaid, ensures legal and policy compliance, and helps trigger any necessary support such as Occupational Health. Failing to log sickness can lead to incorrect pay, missed support, and inaccurate records that could negatively impact the employee and the team. By taking this small step, you are helping to safeguard their wellbeing and supporting a well-managed workplace.
Logging Employee Sickness
Line managers and administrators can log sickness on behalf of employees who are unable to do so themselves. This ensures a smoother and more efficient process for both you and your team.
When to log sickness on behalf of employees
If an employee is unable to report their sickness due to illness or other reasons (such as being unable to access the portal), you can enter the sickness record on their behalf using MyView. The process is simple and straightforward.
