Six Week Perimenopause/Menopause Programme

26 Feb 2024

Hormone Reset Programme for menopausal people Aged 40 + with Nutritional Therapy Practioner, Fiona Hutchison (fully booked)

Menopause and perimenopausal programme

Please note, we have now filled all available spaces. If you would like any more information, please contact wellbeing@manchester.ac.uk.

Menopause is typically being talked about as something that only affects women, however it happens to people of differing genders, including trans men, who were assigned the female gender at birth, and non-binary people, who identify as neither male nor female. This programme is open to expressions of interest from all menopausal people over the age of 40. Where the term ‘women’ or ‘woman’ is referenced, we include all menopausal people.

We have invited Fiona Hutchison Nutrition to deliver this six-week programme focused towards taking a full 360-degree view of a woman’s health to support perimenopause/menopause. The body is a dynamic set of interconnected systems that all have the potential to influence each other. It is not just concerned with the sex hormones (oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone) – it also addresses gut health, adrenals, thyroid, blood sugar balance, oestrogen metabolism and biotransformation processes too. By taking this wider panoramic view the body is well placed to move seamlessly through this stage in a woman’s life.

Overview of Programme

This programme is designed for women, transgender and non-binary individuals over the age of 40. Menopause is a natural part of every woman’s life and it is a journey that requires support long before any symptoms appear. Research tells us that the transition through menopause is much easier if women take care of their health in the decade before the menopause. However, this programme is designed to support women, no matter what stage they are at in their menopause journey.
