New year, new challenge: Learn Mandarin in 2024

Take on a new challenge and enrol on a course with the Confucius Institute

Enrolment for the Confucius Institute’s January courses is now open. Try something new in 2024 and begin your Mandarin journey with a Conversational course.

• Two hours, one evening/week (Tuesdays), 16 January to 19 March
• In person on campus
• Two beginner levels

This series is the perfect way to dip your toe in the water before learning to write Chinese characters.

Confucius Institute language students will get the opportunity to apply to go to China in Summer 2024.

If you’d prefer to learn online or speak some Mandarin already, we’ll still be running our Comprehensive Mandarin courses (from Beginner up to Advanced levels). Please get in touch at confucius@manchester.ac.uk if you’re not sure which level is right for you.
