Scope

Scoping

The objectives of the Scoping Stage are to ensure that project ideas are captured and reviewed by Senior Stakeholders, and appropriate approval given to commit resources and/or funds to move to the Define Stage. Project ideas can be generated by staff across the University where a need arises as well as being informed by strategic decision.

The main output of the scoping stage is a Project Proposal

The project proposal will present the initial idea and rationale for a project. The development of the document involves working with University business colleagues to analyse whether the potential project is feasible within cost and time limits, and importantly, at a high level, what the measurable benefits are of undertaking the change.
