People Partner support for SEED academics
07 Jul 2026
An update for SEED staff as the School's academic People Partner will leave at the end of July
Christina Collier, Academic People Partner for SEED, will be leaving the University on 31 July after four years of service. During this time, she has supported FBMH and, more recently, SEED and SALC within Humanities, contributing across a range of priorities and supporting colleagues through a period of change. We are grateful for her contribution and wish her well in her next steps.
Recruitment to the permanent Academic People Partner role is already underway and it is hoped that an appointment will be made later this month. Once the interview process has concluded, a further update will be given to staff on the interim arrangements that will be put in place to ensure continued support during the transition period.
As a reminder, there are a number of support routes available through the People Directorate:
People Connect is the University's online portal for People-related services and requests. It should be used for queries relating to People Services, Recruitment Services, Pensions, Reward and Benefits, Global Mobility and other employment-related administration. Colleagues can submit, track and manage requests through the portal and access a growing library of guidance and support resources. People - Connect
People Leader Advice provides dedicated support for managers and supervisors on people-related matters. The team offers practical advice and coaching on areas such as absence management, probation, performance, wellbeing, ending contracts, flexible working, and employee relations matters. Support is available via peopleleadersadvice@manchester.ac.uk
