Join us in person for a presentation by Rob Ford, Professor of Political Science at the University of Manchester on his latest book: The British General Election of 2024. This is the latest in the world's longest running and best-known series of election studies, long associated with David Butler, which has covered every general election in Britain since 1945.

Following the presentation there will be a lively Q&A with Rob and one of the team from The Manchester Mill about the unstable state of British politics as we dive into the twists and turns since the 2024 general election. With the local elections having taken place one week before, and the win by The Green Party in the Manchester constituency of Denton and Gorton, could this be the start of the end for two party politics.

Expect intriguing insights, spirited debates, and a chance to see if Labour can keep their Jenga tower standing or if it’s all about to tumble. Don’t miss out on this unmissable event packed with political drama and sharp analysis!
