Recruiting: Head of Architecture

We are inviting Expressions of Interest for a Head of Department role within SEED

SEED seeks to appoint a new Head of Architecture.   

The role of Head of Department is a strategically important one in supporting the University’s vision. The Head of Architecture will provide the academic leadership and management to ensure that the Department makes a full contribution towards the objectives of the School, the Faculty and the University.     

The post attracts a £5000 Honararium and 9000 workload points.    

The deadline to submit expressions of interest is 2nd April 2026. 

Interviews dates TBC. 

Expressions of Interest should be sent to seedheadofschool@manchester.ac.uk.  

Expressions of Interest should consist of a brief up-to-date CV with a covering letterofup to 500 words, outlining your suitability for the role and what you would like to achieve if appointed.  

Candidate applications will be reviewed by a panel and shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview. The interview will often consist of a presentation and some questions to enable the panel to ascertain suitability for the position. The panel will always include members of School Executive.
