Apply for SEED social responsibility project funding
26 Jan 2026
Staff and postgraduate researchers within the School of Environment, Education and Development are encouraged to apply for grant funding to support Social Responsibility in the school in relation to teaching, research and/or operational processes.
Applications for funding for social responsibility projects within SEED to be delivered during semester 2 are now open.
These awards support SEED staff and PGR researchers to run projects that support Social Responsibility in relation to teaching, research and/or operational processes in SEED. While the amount available is up to £2,000 per project, we encourage colleagues to think carefully about their budgets this year, and apply for smaller projects where possible. This is due to smaller budgets this year, and our desire to ensure we can support colleagues across the School where possible.
Applications in Semester 2 should be submitted by Friday 13th February (applications up to Sun 15th will be reviewed in case the weekend time is helpful) – applicants should hear within one week about the decision.
There is no post-award support for these projects and applicants will be expected to answer a short form for reporting purposes (so that we can showcase our diverse SR initiatives across the School).
For more information or for an informal discussion about potential projects please reach out to the Director of Social Responsibility or to your departmental champion:
