Description

Ethics ref : 15191

The University of Manchester is looking for healthy volunteers from 18 to 40 years old who have no wounds, eczema, or cuts/breaks on the hand, scabs or any visible evidence of skin hand infections. Individuals currently taking antibiotics are not eligible to participate. The investigation requires two visits to the University of Manchester, Stopford Building. During each visit, both hands will be examined to be sure there are no cuts/breaks or skin hand infections. You would be asked to apply a probiotic cleaning product or a product containing no probiotic bacteria to a piece of kitchen surface material in our laboratory. A skin swab sample would be collected from both hands before and after the use of the probiotic cleaner on the kitchen surface. This will take approximately 15 minutes per visit to the University. If you’re interested in participating, please contact me using the information below. You will be compensated for your time.
