Have you had a diagnosis of bipolar disorder? Do you feel that you are living the life that you want?

Description

Ethics ref  2017-0417-2019

We are looking for adults aged 22+ to take part in a study exploring how people are able to live the life that they want following a diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

We want to learn from those who have achieved long lasting recovery and are able to live the life that they want. We are therefore looking for people who have received a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and not experienced an episode of major depression or mania within the last 4 years.

Unfortunately, only English speakers and participants with no major sensory or learning impairments can take part due to the nature of the interview.

If you wish to take part in the study and meet the above criteria you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire to collect basic information about you.  We will then arrange convenient times for you to be interviewed to determine what type of bipolar disorder you met in line with current guidelines and then to talk about your experiences and journey to being able to live the life that you want.  This could take place at the University of Manchester or via phone or video calling.
