The Real Living Wage hourly rate will increase to £12.00 from Monday, 1 April

University of Manchester

Our University remains committed to the Real Living Wage and was accredited by the Living Wage Foundation in 2019.

From Monday, 1 April, the Real Living hourly rate will increase to £12.00 an hour for all Grade one staff.

Acting Director of People and Organisational Development Andrew Mullen says: “We are proud to announce that the University will be implementing the enhanced Real Living Wage rate of £12 per hour for all colleagues who are currently paid on spinal points 7 – 9.”

You can view the changes and find out how this affects you on our Pay Scales page from 1 April 2024.
