Healthier Futures: Health and Social Care needs, resourcing, access and delivery workshop

26 Mar 2024

Thursday, 30th May, 10am - 1pm

The Healthier Futures platform includes research that relates to health inequalities – the determinants that underpin inequalities in health outcomes, and the wide range of consequences of these inequalities both in the healthcare system, and across society.

The Health and Social Care: needs, resourcing, access and delivery theme, led by Laura Anselmi, Rosa Parisi and Will Whittaker recognises that health and social care systems, their structures, their workforces, and their resourcing directly influences health, health behaviours and health outcomes. Our systems need to be able to adapt to the needs of all communities and to provide services that deliver health equity. At Manchester, our research considers how systems respond to population needs through the organisation, management, resourcing and delivery of health and social care.

Your research might relate broadly to the theme of Health and Social Care: needs, resourcing, access and delivery. Our first opportunity to engage and network for the theme is detailed below. We would be delighted if you could attend and participate.

The workshop will aim to showcase research happening at the University within the theme area. There will be five presentations followed by discussion. We are particularly keen to support and encourage cross-discipline and collaborative research in this area.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
