Walk and tour of Victoria Baths

02 May 2013

The campus walking group have organised a walk (subject to numbers) on Friday, 17 May from the Dover Street Building for a group tour of Victoria Baths.

Victoria Baths

Victoria Baths is widely recognised at Britain’s finest historic municipal swimming pool. In 2003 it was voted as the building BBC2 viewers most wanted to see restored.

As a result, the front block of the building is now restored externally and visitors can view its many decorative features – stained glass windows, mosaic floors, glass block paving and the Turkish Baths suite, as well as the three pool halls.

Visit the website:

The tour will cost £5 and will take approximately one hour.

The walk will set off at noon and we would expect to be back on campus by 1.45pm.

Group walks

Group guided walks are a great way to explore our campus and get some gentle (free) exercise at the same time. The group usually meets on Wednesdays (12.30pm) and  Fridays (12 noon) at the Dover Street Building.
