Macmillan Coffee Morning on campus this Friday

27 Sep 2012

Christie’s Bistro, the lunch venue located in the heart of The University of Manchester’s Quadrangle on Oxford Road, are holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 28th September from 10am to 12noon with all money raised going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Christie's Bistro

Macmillan hold a coffee morning every year in September and try and make it the world’s biggest coffee morning.

Christie’s Bistro will charge a £2 entry fee which will entitle people to a coffee. When they enter, they will register their attendance, which is then sent back to Macmillan and added together with every coffee morning across the country.

The total number of attendees hopefully will break the world record from the previous year. Adam Woof the Bistro’s manager said:  "There will be a raffle and 'Guess the number of coffee beans in the Jar' competition as a few quirky extras. We encourage everyone to come as the Bistro is open to everyone, not just University staff."
