Open meeting about new Research Councils UK funding

Find out more about the School-University Partnerships Initiative

University staff are invited to an open meeting to discuss our bid for funding from the new School-University Partnerships Initiative which has just been launched by Research Councils UK (RCUK).

The aim of the initiative is to provide funding for higher education institutions to work in partnership with local school alliances to help with engagement between young people and researchers.

A maximum of £50,000 per year for three years is available and only one submission per institution is allowed.  The deadline is 25 September 2012.

  • Time: 10am – 11.30am
  • Venue: Room A101, Samuel Alexander Building
  • Chaired by: Dr Tim O’Brien, Associate Dean for Social Responsibility in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences; Julian Skyrme/Stephanie Lee from Undergraduate Recruitment and Widening Participation.

The session will give more information about the funding and your ideas and thoughts are welcome.
