The University is working hard to access great benefits and discounts for all staff to help everyone save money on everyday purchases. There are now over 50 in-house benefits for staff and with Perkz staff can access a further 200 discounts.

Perkz has been incredibly popular with staff and nearly 20% of you registered within the first month to start saving money. It’s easy to register and there is something for everybody. As well as giving you great discounts at top retailers, as a Perkz member you can now get cashback! Perkz have joined forces with the UK’s No 1 cashback provider Quidco. Earn cashback when you shop at great retailers such as Tesco, The Carphone Warehouse, Ted Baker, The Body Shop and many more.

There are some great prizes up for grabs this month. These include a £500 makeover, courtesy of DestinationSkin to reveal a more beautiful you. Campus offers

There are some fantastic campus facilities to eat, drink and stay and all operated by University staff.

10% discount on food at Chancellors Hotel in the Carriage Restaurant and Conservatory lounge. Chancellors Hotel is a Grade II listed mansion based in Fallowfield and exudes the elegant ambience of a country house hotel. It has a great reputation for excellent food, whether it is a conference lunch, an informal buffet or a gourmet evening. Ever sourcing the finest fresh and locally produced ingredients and continually developing menus in keeping with today’s tastes and expectations.

Chancellors is also offering 10% off the best available rate at the hotel. The hotel is ideal for nights out in South Manchester!

10% off at Café Rylands

Café Rylands is located within the historic John Rylands Library on Deansgate. The café serves brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, delicious cakes and a large selection of hot and cold drinks. The menu includes fresh sandwiches, salads and soups, which are carefully prepared daily using locally sourced ingredients and daily changing specials which are made using the finest seasonal produce from local suppliers. Café Rylands has been described as one of the most pleasant cafés in Manchester and is open to anyone, not just visitors to the Library. So if you are working, shopping or visiting Manchester, call in to the Café at the Rylands.

Another fantastic offer for those who enjoy holidays in France is 10% discount at St Jouannet in Gascony. St Jouannet is a medieval château situated in the heart of Gascony, in the beautiful Armagnac district.

You can choose between five gîtes (2-5 persons): The Big Tower, the Owl´s House, and the houses of the Musketeers, comprising three gîtes: Athos, Porthos and Aramis. Each house has its own little kitchen and a terrace or a court yard where you can grill and dine outside. All the gîtes are part of the old château.
