Screening of Lynn Hershman Leeson’s film WAR! (Women, Art, Revolution) followed by a chance to discuss the film with its director and Mary Griffiths, Curator of Modern Art.
Hershman Leeson is an artist, director and producer whose ground-breaking work was shown to much acclaim at the Whitworth in 2007. Most recently, she was honoured by the Digital Art Museum in Berlin with the d.velop digital art award (d.daa), the most distinguished honour for lifetime achievement in the field of new media.
Lynn Hershman Leeson is also in conversation with Maria Balshaw, Director of the Whitworth Art Gallery and Manchester Art Gallery, on Tuesday 13 December at the Martin Harris Centre.
