New website for staff supporting students who are parents or carers

Existing University guidance and advice now available in one place
The Student Experience Office, the Student Guidance Service and the Teaching & Learning Support Office (TLSO) have collaborated to produce a new resource for staff members who might come into contact with students who are parents or who become parents while studying at the University.
It brings together existing University guidance and advice relating to student parents into one place, to enable staff members to know where to find it if they need to provide advice and support to students in this area.
The new web section has been set up by the Web Team as part of StaffNet and it is available at:
There are sections on the left-hand side covering subjects such as pregnancy, maternity & paternity leave, adoption leave, family emergencies and caring responsibilities, attendance requirements of students, children on campus, funding and childcare.
Links are given within the new webpages to relevant University policies and procedures such as the Mitigating Circumstances policy, Interruptions principles and the Work and Attendance of Students regulation.
