Meet some live frogs and more at The Manchester Museum’s Variety of Life Big Sat or take part in a Nature drawing workshop for adults (both Saturday 22 May, 11am-4pm)

A day bursting with activities for all ages. Discover the amazing diversity of life on earth and your place within it. Help us create a huge floor mural in our Animal Life 1 gallery; get up close to animals from our collection, including live frogs at our frog talk; make a giant bee to go on the Manchester Day Parade on 20 June; make a pledge for International Year of Biodiversity and much more.

Most activities are free and drop-in. Some activities may need to be booked on the day and may cost up to £1.50. All ages.

Nature drawing for adults

Drawing workshop suitable for all drawing levels. Led by illustrator Paul Loudon, this workshop will look at techniques of how you can capture nature with pen and paper. Using the Museum's natural history collection, Paul will show you how you can draw feathers to look like feathers or fur to look like fur.
