Come and try Capoeira at special one-day workshop!

A new term of capoeira classes starts on Monday 20 April at the Sugden Centre (6pm - 7.30pm). If you're interested in finding out more about this legendary martial art from Brazil, come and try it at a special extended session on Saturday 28 March at the Zion Centre. Or just come along to watch the 'roda', the game of capoeira, for free.

Capoeira Angola incorporates diverse elements of African culture including dance, music, acrobatics and various fighting forms. This style of martial art disguised as dance has always been based on the principle of surprise and improvisation. It is vibrant and visual with a rich heritage. Come and give it a try!

Where: Zion Arts Centre, 355 Stretford Road, Hulme (10 minutes walk from the Sudgen Centre)
When: 12.30 - 2.30pm music and movement, 2.30 - 4pm roda
Cost: £5 students / £7 others, or come and watch the roda for free!
