Facelift for Chancellors.

03 Dec 2008

Improvements add to appeal of hotel and conference centre.

Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre has recently undergone a facelift. This is almost complete, with only a few cosmetic changes yet to be carried out.

The public space improvements begin at the new front doors and continue through to the new reception desk, carpeting and toilet makeover. This area now contains an additional desk for delegate registration, and also provides a computer internet access point for delegates and hotel residents.

In the conference area, 300 new chairs enhance the visual appeal and comfort of this very important space.

All of the hotel's bedrooms have been revitalized with quality soft furnishings in a matching colour scheme. Lighting has also been improved and the bathrooms have new floorcoverings. Four of these rooms have been upgraded to executive standard.

In the west wing of the building (the old mansion), four existing executive rooms have been converted into very high quality, contemporary style boardrooms, with an extensive range of facilities and an exclusive breakout area. These new conference rooms are larger and more stylish that anything previously available at Chancellors. They will be a great asset in enhancing the Chancellors' product and meeting changing expectations from Chancellors' growing number of customers.

This area also includes a luxurious suite for use by VIPs or by the bride and groom at any weddings held in the hotel.

Other improvements are being planned, both in service standards and in the building itself. These will help take the business to new heights and allow Chancellors to compete with the expanding hotel and conference market in the city.
