Treatments can help work- and sports-related problems.
The Sports Injury Clinic, based at the Armitage Sports Site, Fallowfield, provides treatment for:
- Postural related problems arising from long hours of desk/lab work, e.g. neck pain, low back pain, elbow and wrist pain, pins and needles
- Sports-related problems that have developed over time or come on due to a sudden injury,
e.g. contusions, ankle and knee sprains, back pain, sore feet
The Clinic also offers:
- Dynamic movement screening in preparation for a big event/ competition, e.g. marathon
Treatments offered include:
- Specialized exercise programs
- Sports massage
- Acupuncture
- Cupping
- Electrotherapy
The Physiotherapist is:
- Health Professions Council registered
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists
- Member of Acupuncture Associtation of Chartered Physiotherapsist
- Qualified in Sports and Remedial Massage (BTEC&ISRM Diploma)
- BSc Physiotherapy
- BSc Sports and Exercise Science
Significantly discounted rates:
- Staff £18 per session (35 min)
- Students £15 per session (35 min)
This significantly discounted rate is achievable due to low overhead costs.
