--------------------------------

UMSA are contributing towards a new Watercolour Beginners' Class.

The first class will be held on Monday 20 October 2008, 5 pm to 7 pm, in the Parkinson Room, Ground Floor, John Rylands University Library, Burlington Street.

The classes are run by Hugh Templeton. Hugh was born in Manchester in 1955 and went on to obtain a degree in Education with distinction in the practice of teaching from the University of Manchester in 1978. Since then he has gone on to teach art throughout the UK, USA and aboard the QE2.

Hugh will take the class through watercolour painting step-by-step until you have all produced a beautiful Watercolour painting to take home. All the art material is supplied, so you just need to turn up!

This class has been run already with fabulous results. People who had never picked up a brush before went away with a painting they were proud to hang on their walls. Come along - you won't be disappointed!

Cost of class:

  • £4.50 on presentation of an UMSA membership card
    or
  • £6.50 for non members
