'Cool It' 2008 - Student Climate Change Art Competition.

This annual competition seeks to raise environmental awareness, stimulate discussion and encourage eco-friendly behaviour by inviting students to produce something creative that has impact. This year's competition is being funded by BP.
Selected winning entries from the 2007 competition are being displayed in the Student Services Centre reception, Burlington Street. These include the winning entry: a 'shopping bag' by Grace Payne made entirely from entwined used plastic shopping bags. Last year's competition and exhibition was funded by the Alumni Fund and prizes included £700 worth of organic, air-miles-free shopping, mountain bikes, outdoor clothing vouchers and copies of "The Rough Guide to Ethical Living".
Students must register for the competition online by Friday 14 March 2008, prior to submitting an entry by Friday 18 April 2008.
