Now Resolved: Loss of access to a number of services

This morning, we identified that a number of services became unavailable (Note: this is now resolved)

Services we have identified include:

  • Microsoft Lync message service
  • Oracle Financials
  • Discoverer
  • Kinetics
  • Some shared network areas
  • Some Xerox printers
  • Some building access systems#
  • Corporate Planner
  • Sickness and Absence Monitoring System (SAMS)
  • Library self-service
  • SVN

While there were some system configuration changes this morning, it is currently inconclusive as to whether this work has been the cause of today’s issues. However, investigation continues at a high priority and we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

This issue has now been sorted – our teams positively identified this issue which caused the loss of access, and service has now been restored.
