"I told my Mum I was going on a RE trip…"

05 Jan 2017

Award-winning company 20 Stories High and Contact co-produce a new verbatim play about young women and abortion

“I told my Mum I was going on an RE trip…” premieres at Contact from Wednesday, 1 to Saturday, 4 February (7.30pm).

This funny, frank, and moving new play is about as far from a worthy sexual health lecture as is imaginable. The taboo breaking show features a multi-talented young female ensemble that use verbatim voices, live music, beats and rhyme to portray the stories of real women who’ve experienced pregnancy and abortion.

Writer and Co-Artistic Director of 20 Stories High, Julia Samuels, has recorded over 50 interviews with young women, parents, health professionals and campaigners from both sides of the abortion debate to create an honest and balanced work.

Tickets are priced £13/ £7 concession and the show is for over 13s.
