Printing goes mobile for staff

Now you can print from a laptop, smartphone and tablet. You don’t even have to be on campus and you can collect your printing from any machine

We’ve upgraded student and staff printers including the ePayments service to bring you a whole range of exciting new features:

  • You can print, copy and scan to any Xerox machine in any building at any time.
  • Nothing is printed out until you go to collect, so it’s secure and confidential.
  • You can print from a laptop, smartphone or tablet including mac and Linux
  • Staff can also now print for free in the student PC clusters and libraries

Still not connected to the new Xerox printer in the office?

If you’ve not yet connected to the new printers - don’t worry there are user guides located at each printer to give you on the spot assistance and instructions on the website.

A quick reminder about reporting printer faults – if you’re using staff printers you now need to contact Xerox on 020 3788 5086 and have details of printer serial number, Xerox asset number and UoM device number at hand (all of these are available on a sticker on the printer).

If you’re using a student printer (in a PC Cluster or the one of the libraries) and notice a fault please direct it to our IT Support Centre on 0161 306 5544.
