Fantastic support for University causes at last week’s Staff Quiz

The first ever Staff Quiz night was held last week in the Students’ Union Bar – taking it over while the students are away

The bar was packed to full capacity and unfortunately we had far more teams wanting to take part than we could fit in.

Entry fees and donations were taken on the night in aid of three of the University’s priority areas for student support – Undergraduate Access Scholarships, the Emergency Student Hardship Fund and the Equity and Merit programme. We raised £353.71 in total, to be divided across the three areas, which all rely on the support of donors.

The winning team, “Name yet to be declared”, enjoyed a bar tab at the Students’ Union, while “Alliance Manchester Quizness School” walked away with a selection of Poundland prizes for best team name.
