HSCIC Data Access Workshop

05 Jul 2016

Supporting researchers with more effective navigation of the HSCIC’s Data Access Request Service (DARS)

You are invited to the upcoming HSCIC – Data Access Workshop which will be held in Vaughan House, The University of Manchester on Monday, 11 July 2016 (11am to 2pm).

HSCIC Data Applications Event

The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) is planning a series of events offering researchers the opportunity to understand more about the work they do on data access and how they can work more effectively with academics and researchers.

Event details

The event has been designed to support researchers with more effective navigation of the HSCIC’s Data Access Request Service (DARS). It will cover the main Frequently Asked Questions around the service and provide attendees with more information on the launch of DARS online, the HSCIC’s new portal offering enhanced capability and functionality to streamline and automate the process for submitting data access requests. If you attend the event you will specifically hear more about:

  • the applications process, including the move to an online service;
  • recent and forthcoming developments.

The event will be very informal and the HSCIC invites you to ask questions as the morning progresses. If, however, you wish to discuss a specific application, there is the opportunity to book a one-to-one with a member of the HSCIC team – more information on booking arrangements is in the panel to the right. An agenda will be issued on the day as the HSCIC is keen to incorporate any specific items based on your feedback in advance of the event.
