Take a tour of the Godlee Observatory

Step back into the past and see inside this hidden gem of a building where local astronomers have gathered for over 100 years to enjoy the science of astronomy. The Godlee Observatory is set high above the streets of Manchester housing fantastic telescopes in its dome.

The Godlee Observatory is located at the top of the Sackville Street Building. Enter the building from Granby Row - if you don't have your University ID card with you, please phone 0161 306 4977 and someone will come down to let you in. The observatory entrance is on G Floor.

There is no disabled access to the Godlee Observatory and no admittance to children under the age of 11.
