On Tuesday, 8 March the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences will be hosting its first sustainability festival

With events across both campuses which are open to all staff and students it will be an action packed day to help you become more sustainable. As part of the day there will be an exclusive staff only Sustainable Procurement Fair (12pm – 2pm, Entrance Hall, Sackville Street Building) to meet some of our contracted suppliers and find out about their sustainable products.  

Other events open to everyone including:

  • Clothes Swap, Barnes Wallis Hub (12pm – 2pm)
    Bring your previously loved clothes and swap them with colleagues for a new wardrobe for FREE! Its FREE if you bring clothes to swap, £1 per item if you don’t (Adult and children’s clothes accepted).
  • DebaTED, Renold Building (12pm-1pm)
    Lunchtime debate with our researchers (TED style talks)
  • Top tips for cycling safely in traffic, Alan Turing Building, Room 3.306 (1pm – 2pm)
    Learn about where to position yourself on the road so that you can be seen, how the Highway Code affects cyclists, and some advice on using the new infrastructure on Oxford Rd.
