Opportunities and challenges for China's new globalisation strategy

19 Feb 2016

Road and Belt Initiative Seminar on Monday, 22 February (11.30am-1.30pm) in Conference Room, Manchester Museum

Manchester Business School China Centre and Horizon’s Future Business School have jointly completed their second year research project and just had a new book release entitled “2015 Overseas Chinese Corporate Reputation Report”: Overcoming One Belt One Road Initiative Challenges. The "Silk Road Economic Belt" and "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" together encompass over 60 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. There will be exciting new commercial opportunities in the short, medium and long term for the UK companies.

Ms. Sherry Fu and Dr. Xi Feng, both authors of this new book will present their views and suggestions regarding what China’s new globalization means and what will be the opportunities and challenges ahead for China’s new globalization strategy to succeed abroad. On the other hand, local partners in Britain will shed their lights on the book findings and share  their views on the same subject. This event is to promote better understanding for those interested in enhancing the “Sino-British Golden Decade” and work together to make it happen in a way favorable to both countries and enterprises.

As Manchester Envoy to China, Ms. FU will be a unique person to share with you her experiences and views from both sides what lies ahead for cooperations between Manchester and China.
