Lecture capture (Podcasting) and Apple computers

There is a known issue with the Lecture Capture (podcasting) service and Apple computers, using HDMI connectors
Currently the podcasting service is not compatible with Apple computers when using a HDMI display cable, which has resulted in a small number of recordings not functioning correctly.
This is due to a form of copy protection known as High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) which operates whenever a HDMI cable is used to display content on projectors in lecture theatres.
We are looking for a solution to this, but in the meantime it is recommended that staff using Apple computers for teaching use an adapter to connect their Macbook to the projector with a VGA cable.
