Is your equality data up to date?

21 May 2015

Thursday, 21 May is World Diversity Day: to celebrate this and help us understand the University community we support, we are asking all staff to log onto MyView and update their equality data

data update

We believe that everyone has the right to work in an environment where they are treated fairly and with dignity and respect.

Information about staff age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation helps us to produce anonymous statistical reports. These allow us to make sure we are directing time and resources in the places that will make the most positive differences for everyone.

To ensure that your equality data is up to date:

  • Log on to MyManchester;
  • Click on About Me/Edit profile (top right);
  • Click on Access MyView;
  • Click on My Details;
  • Select Equal Opportunity Details;
  • Click on [edit these details], amend the information in the five equality categories if necessary and [submit].

In the Equal Opportunities form, you will be able to select options for the five equality categories.

The statistical reports that we produce are completely anonymous. Your personal details are kept securely and access to them is restricted.
