Do you conduct research in neurodegenerative diseases?

16 Apr 2015

Join a cross-Faculty network

An integrated cross-Faculty network is being developed at the University in order to coordinate, focus and optimize dementia and neurodegenerative disease research, such as CJD, MND, Huntington’, Parkinson’s, MS, cortisobasal degeneration and progressive supranuclear palsy.

It aims to build the reputation of the University as a leader in dementia research nationally and internationally, and to enable the University to become dementia friendly, enhancing its social responsibility agenda.

In order to do this, the network is developing a multidisciplinary dementia research strategy, informed and underpinned by the involvement of people living with dementia and their support networks.

Margaret Stark said: “It’s imperative that we capture an accurate snapshot of the breadth of dementia and neurodegenerative research being conducted across the University, so do get in touch if you are carrying out research in this field and have not received an email from me.”
