Faculty of MHS take action on Staff Survey issues

09 Mar 2015

MHS took a unified approach to tackling the issues raised in the Staff Survey, with Schools and Institutes working together to address common issues

MHS's response to the 2013 Staff Survey was swift and the Faculty has remained committed to addressing some of the key issues which staff raised by putting into place robust actions plan that have been regularly monitored and evaluated.

Kay Day, Director of Faculty Operations said, "From the results we identified those areas where we saw that Faculty performance could be improved, with the aim of improving the job satisfaction of our staff. To do this we addressed as many issues as we could and focused our efforts on a variety of areas including communications, performance management, reward and recognition, personal development and the physical working environment, where it was possible'.

MHS Schools and Institutes were asked to complete an action plan to identify their main areas of local change and also explain what actions would be taken between 2013 and the 2015 survey. The Faculty also created an action plan for MHS as a whole.

Across MHS, changes as a result of the staff survey have been communicated regularly via the MHS Team Brief, MHS Matters, the Faculty all staff e-update, and MHS School/Institutes also used Board meetings, newsletters and away days to update their teams on changes.
