An evening of music, literature – and medicine

23 Jan 2015

See our young medics showcase a range of artistic talents

You are invited to this evening of musical, artistic and literary performances, provided by our talented medical students.

The informal group – who will be on stage at the Anthony Burgess Foundation on Tuesday, 10 February, from 6.30-9.30pm – have come together to showcase talents not in their curriculum and show that Medicine is about more than treatment. And it is funded by a Teaching Excellence Award given to Dr Sarah Collins, Academic Lead for Early Clinical Experience and Clinical Communication.

They will provide inspirational sounds and images in words, colour and music – jazz, classical, folk, poetry, dramatic monologue, comedy, sculpture and song – some of it on Anthony Burgess's beautiful grand piano.

The café and bar will be open on the night and plenty of time for conversation.

The show – at Chorlton Mill, 3 Cambridge Street, M1 5BY – is free for students and unwaged; £5 for waged.
