Collaborative EPSRC funding opportunity

02 Dec 2014

Applications are invited to the 8th call for proposals for funding by 25 February 2015 (12 noon)

EPSRC has awarded The University of Manchester over £3.2M to deliver an Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) following the successful conclusion of its Knowledge Transfer Account (KTA).

The University’s IAA Operations Board is pleased to announce the 8th call for proposals for funding under the following mechanisms:

  1. Concept Development and Feasibility Study Scheme ¬- To bridge the gap in support for early stage commercialisation of ideas
  2. Exploitation Secondment Scheme - To increase the exchange of knowledge through mobility of people between the university and user organisations
  3. Academic Secondment Scheme - Support for Academic secondments between The University of Manchester and businesses and other organisations

The Relationship Incubation Scheme, and newly launched Outreach Fund ¬are run as an open and responsive call.

The closing date for applications to this 8th call is 25th February 2015, 12 noon.  For further details, please click here.

The current allocation of EPSRC IAA funds must be spent by 30th September 2015. For projects where there is an industrial contribution, it will be possible to front-load costs onto the IAA allocation before drawing down the industrial contribution. Under these circumstances, we will be able to support projects that intend to run beyond September 2015. A £1.7M extension to the IAA will run from October 2015 to March 2017.
