An exciting programme of events taking place at Manchester Central Library

October is Black History Month and the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre have an exciting programme of events happening at Manchester Central Library:

  • Understanding the US Civil Rights Movement: Lou Kushnick lecture - Thursday 9 October, 5:30pm
  • Maya Angelou poetry workshops and open mic - Monday 13 October, 1:00pm
  • Call Mr Robeson, a special performance by Tayo Aluko - Tuesday 14 October, 6:00pm
  • Screening of Moving Memories: Tales from Moss Side and Hulme documentary, plus Q&A with director Karen Gabay - Monday 20 October, 6:00pm
  • Nana Bonsu exhibition – 20 - 31 October
  • Carnival! handling session - Wednesday 22 October, 12:30pm
  • The Curious Incident Of The Gurkha Knife: a mini drama of an epic story, by Anjum Malik - Saturday 1 November, 1:30 pm
