Join the Lord Speaker Baroness D'Souza and guests to discuss the work of the House of Lords, and the ways that Members of the House scrutinise media and communications issues

Members of the House of Lords boast expertise from a range of media and communications backgrounds. Find out how their expertise used to scrutinise the government’s work

The Lord Speaker will be joined by Arif Ansari BBC North East Political Editor (Event Chair) and Professor Tom Gibbons, from the University and former advisor to House of Lords scrutiny committees.

The event will feature an address by the Lord Speaker followed by an audience-led discussion.
