Free entry and free glass of wine at Buy Art Fair
Now in its seventh year, the Buy Art Fair, with The Manchester Contemporary, will be held in their new home, the iconic Old Granada Studios in Manchester from 26 to 28 September. Eighty galleries will be exhibiting the work of more than 500 artists and with prices from £50 to £5,000 plus, there is a piece of original, affordable art for everyone.
As well as the art for sale, there’s live painting, live music, kid’s art zone and fabulous food in the Artisan pop-up café bar.

Manchester student takeover – staff can buy an NUS Card
University staff are eligible to purchase an NUS Extra Card which entitles you to 12 months of fabulous savings from major retailers such as Amazon, Co-operative Food Stores, Spotify, Accessorize, Superdrug, Easyjet and many more from £12 per year. You can use these cards at discount nights on Tuesday, 23 September at The Trafford Centre Student Lock-in and Manchester city centre on Tuesday, 30 September when stores keep their doors open and offer up to 30% off for those showing NUS cards on the takeover event. They’ll be offers, discounts and in-store action across 100s of your favourite brands and Manchester Arndale will play host to over 130 exclusive student offers alongside DJs, competitions and giveaways.
