Debussy’s late masterpiece was one of six intended sonatas. Bax’s Folk Tale is an elegiac introspective memorial piece from his days in Ireland. Martinu wrote his second sonata while exiled in the USA, and it is characteristic of his approachable 1940s style.
This concert is free, just turn up there's no need to book.
