Mimas moves to new home

After 30 years based at the University, Centre for Excellence – Mimas - will move to its new home next month at technology charity Jisc

Following the move, on Friday 1 August, Mimas will continue to be a key provider of services and expertise in the dissemination of information to those who need it for higher and further education and research.

Mimas’ work includes developing innovative technologies and services, such as Augmented Reality and mobile learning, which meet current and future user needs.

Mimas has grown from supporting around 100 researchers in their use of census data to developing a significant number of the UK’s research information assets, with hundreds of thousands of users across the UK.
