Wake up your wardrobe - swap clothes at the Rutherford Swish

09 Jun 2014

On Wednesday, 11 June (12.30–1.30pm), the seasonal Rutherford ‘Swish’ will take place in the Rutherford Room, Rutherford Building

Rutherford Swish

If you are updating your spring/summer wardrobe or clearing out your autumn/winter threads, please don’t throw them away - save them for 11 June and “swish” them for other pre-loved items!

Admission

  • £2 if you bring items
  • £3 if you do not

The proceeds will be shared between the Wood Street Mission and Cornerstone Homeless Charity.

How does it work?

You bring along any good quality items of clothing which you no longer wear/use (handbags, shoes, tops and dresses etc), pay a donation which goes to a good cause and help yourself to any items which colleagues have brought in which take your fancy!

Any leftover items of clothing will be donated to the Wood Street Mission/Cornerstone, and will be put to good use by local families. The previous Swish raised £104 for charity, the biggest amount yet, as well as donating 12 bags of clothes to the charities.

You can also bring in items to be donated straight to charity. There is always a need for good quality children's and young adults' clothing, baby equipment, bedding and toiletries.

Please spread the word about the Rutherford Swish.
