Important update for Apple mobile devices and computers

27 Feb 2014

Security update released from Apple.

Apple have released important update to fix a serious security issue on some of their mobile devices, and OS 10.9 (also known as “Mavericks) for their desktop and laptop computers such as the iMac, Macbook and Mac Pro.

If you are using an iPhone 3GS or newer, an iPad 2 or newer, or a 4th / 5th generation iPod touch, you must update your device to iOS 7.0.6 or 6.1.6 as soon as possible, otherwise your device is vulnerable to a malicious attack.

Information on updating your device can be found on the Apple website:

If you are using an Apple Mac running Mac OS 10.9, you must perform a software update to version 10.9.2. Mac OS automatically checks for updates on a weekly basis, so there’s a chance that your Mac may have been updated already.

Note: Whilst this particular security issue only applies to Mac OS 10.9, it’s always a good idea to keep your Mac up to date by ensuring the software updates run regularly.
