Sweet success for Children in Need fundraisers

22 Nov 2013

Staff and students did a great job raising money for this year’s BBC Children in Need fundraising – and here’s what some events raised.

Cake made by MACE students

The Directorate of Estates bake sale raised £540 – which is £70 more than last year’s fundraising. Organiser Steph Marsh said: “We’re really pleased to have beaten last year’s total.”

At the school of MACE, their total was £160 – and included an engineering-themed bake competition. The winner, pictured, was made by a small group of year 4 students who are PASS coordinators in the School, entitled a ChristMACE carol.  Could there be another Manchester Great British Bake Off winner among them?

Staff at Dalton Ellis Hall raised £35 from their Christmas cake raffle, with the prize made by Susan Elford.

Over at Christie’s Bistro, the team there raised £284.04 from their coffee morning.
